Cashner allowed just one run on four hits while walking three and striking out five over six innings for a no-decision in Sunday's 4-3 loss to Seattle.
Cashner has still yet to win since September 2016, but this was easily his finest of five starts in 2017. He managed to drop his ERA to 2.63 in the process, and the five strikeouts were a season high. However, the right-hander has walked at least three in each of his outings, and his mediocre K/9 of 4.9 and xFIP of 5.82 should warn owners not to blindly expect anything better in the future. Cashner is a risky streaming option in deeper leagues, at best.
