Manager John Farrell said Sunday that he's hopeful Holt (concussion) will be able to begin a rehab assignment this week, Evan Drellich of the Boston Herald reports.

Holt has been sidelined since May 18 with a concussion, but after making limited progress initially, it appears as though he's turned a corner recently. The utility man has been taking medication to address the spells of dizziness he's experienced, and that seems to have aided his recovery process. Holt has already been cleared to resume baseball activities, so if he endures no setbacks in the coming days, a rehab assignment could indeed be on the horizon.
