Santana was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Saturday after he tested positive for the virus.
Santana returned from the COVID-19 injured list Tuesday, but he'll have to spend more time away from the team due to his positive test result. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return, but Jack Lopez was recalled from Triple-A Worcester to take his place on the active roster.
