Wright allowed five runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out three in 4.1 innings in Friday night's loss to the Astros.

Wright had been a top-five starter in terms of ERA through his first six starts, but the knuckleballer finally faltered in his seventh start of the season. A steady rain made it difficult to get a good grip, which meant the pitch had less of its trademark action. He kept it together for the first four innings, but it all went south in the fifth. It's one bad night, which can be explained away by the weather, so this shouldn't influence manager John Farrell, who will have some rotation decisions to make in the coming days as both Eduardo Rodriguez (knee) and Joe Kelly (shoulder) near the ends of their rehabilitation stints.
