Reds' Rookie Davis: Heads back to Double-A

Davis was sent back down to Double-A on Monday for Pensacola's upcoming playoff run, Cody Pace of MLB.com reports.

Davis was promoted to Triple-A Louisville in early August, but Louisville isn't on track for added playoff baseball, so Davis will see more late-season reps by ending his season with Pensacola. The 23-year-old righty was getting pushed around in Triple-A, however, with an ERA of 7.50 and a WHIP of 1.88 over 24 total innings.
