While the Rangers are interested in Braves catcher/outfielder Evan Gattis, Atlanta asked for starting pitcher prospect Alex Gonzalez as part of the trade. However, that turned into a deal-breaker for Texas, according to MLB.com.
The 2013 first-round pick Gonzalez went 12-6 with a 2.66 ERA and 1.18 WHIP last season between high Class A and Double-A.
