Royals manager Ned Yost could head into the regular season with a bullpen made up of seven players, reports MLB.com.

"It's probably seven," Yost said. "You ask yourself, 'What wins you more games early? The extra guy on the bench? The baserunner late or defensive replacement, or the extra arm?' It hasn't been set. These conversations go day to day. You look at the ability to mix and match offensively versus carrying the extra arm."

With an extra roster spot available in that scenario, Yost could give the spot to another bench player. Yost said he'd prefer that to be an outfielder and could come down to Moises Sierra and Paulo Orlando.
