Tigers' Nick Castellanos: Slides down to six-hole Friday

Castellanos is batting just .170 over his past 14 games, so manager Brad Ausmus will slide him down in the order to try to stimulate his offense. It's unclear if this is a long-term switch or if it's just an adjustment while both Miguel Cabrera (oblique) and Victor Martinez (personal) are out, but things should become clearer as the lineups are released over the next few days.
