Gant (5-11) allowed six runs on eight hits and two walks over four innings Friday, striking out three and taking a loss against the Royals.
The Royals jumped on Gant early, plating a pair of runs in the first inning followed by two more in the third. He then coughed up a two-run double to Andrew Benintendi in the fourth. The 29-year-old righty finishes his 2021 season with a 4.09 ERA and a 92:71 K:BB through 110 innings. Gant went 1-5 with a 5.40 ERA over his last seven appearances.
