Twins' John Ryan Murphy: Optioned to Triple-A

Murphy was optioned to Triple-A Rochester on Thursday, LaVelle E. Neal of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Murphy didn't see a ton of spring action, but posted a .185 average over 27 at-bats. Jason Castro and Chris Gimenez are set to serve as the catchers on the Opening Day roster.
