Teixeira left Friday's game with right knee discomfort and he is scheduled to undergo an MRI, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
Teixeira was replaced by Rob Refsnyder early in Friday's tilt after Teixeira appeared to tweak something in his first at-bat of the evening. The training staff took a look at his knee after he came out of the game, and now it has been confirmed that his knee was indeed the issue. More information on Teixeira's status moving forward figures to be made available late Friday or early Saturday depending on when the results of his MRI are released.
