Tanaka (3-2) pitched 6.1 innings, allowing four runs on six hits while walking one and striking out four in Saturday's loss to the Tigers.
After not suffering a loss through the first two months of the season, Tanaka has dropped his first two decisions of June. The Japanese right-hander was undone by a pair of round-trippers. The first blast came off the bat of Nick Castellanos, a solo shot, in the second inning, and the critical blow was dealt by Ian Kinsler's three-run homer in the fifth inning. Saturday was just the second time this season that Tanaka allowed two or more home runs. He'll take a 3.08 ERA into his next start against the Twins on Friday.
