2016 Outlook: Meyers Leonard

The Trail Blazers believed in Meyers Leonard enough to give him a $41 million contract this offseason, but it's not clear they believe enough to give him a starting job at either big spot. Leonard has rare floor-stretching ability for a seven-footer, having made 1.1 3-pointers at a 39.1 percent clip over the last two seasons, but still averaged just 8.4 points and 5.1 rebounds in 21.9 minutes per game last season. That was his best NBA campaign so far, but he still struggled at times to find consistent playing time even before the shoulder injury that ended his season early. He has a lot of competition for playing time at both center and power forward, which limits Leonard's value to just deeper, category-based leagues on Draft Day.
