Embiid will play in Friday's game against the Magic, but is expected to sit out Saturday's matchup with the Celtics for rest, Tom Moore of the Bucks County Courier Times reports.

With the Sixers heading into another back-to-back set, Embiid will see action in just one of the two matchups. He'll take part in Friday's game and should continue to run as the team's starting center, before conceding the start to Jahlil Okafor on Saturday. Prior to the postponement of Wednesday's game against the Kings, coach Brett Brown announced that Embiid's playing-time restriction had been lifted to 28 minutes, so he'll have an even better opportunity going forward to build on his already outstanding averages of 18.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game.
