Sullinger received a qualifying offer from the Celtics on Wednesday, making him a restricted free agent, Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald reports.

Sullinger saw his worst numbers across the board since his rookie year in 2015-16, averaging 10.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists over 23.6 minutes per game. Despite the drop in production, the Celtics could still use some depth in the frontcourt at both the power forward and center position, so they've opted to extend Sullinger a qualifying offer, meaning they can theoretically match any offer he receives on the open market. Sullinger's fantasy value would likely remain limited if he does indeed remain with the C's.
