Favors (knee) has been ruled out of Thursday's game against the Bulls, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Favors has dealt with soreness in his knee since the preseason and has had trouble staying on the court in the early portions of the regular season. Most recently, he was pulled from Monday's game against the Grizzlies with lingering pain and could be in line for an extended absence moving forward if it continues to give him trouble. He's already been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Bulls, although a concrete timetable has yet to be given, so he should be considered day-to-day for the time being. While it hasn't been released who will start in his place, both Trey Lyles and Boris Diaw should see an increased role moving forward.
