Gay (back) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Nuggets, Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Gay is slated to miss a ninth straight game due to lower-back soreness. His status for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Lakers remains to be determined, but it'd be surprising to see the veteran return to action with the Jazz out of the playoff picture.
