Lamar Patterson: Waived by Hawks

Patterson will be waived by the Hawks on Sunday, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Patterson and the Hawks are reportedly agreeing to a mutual parting of ways, as Patterson is currently working through a personal issue. It's particularly concerning considering the fact that the Hawks signed him for the rest of the season just last week, so it remains to be seen how long this personal issue will keep Patterson away from the game. Once everything is sorted out, Patterson will likely head to the D-League to restore his value unless another NBA team comes calling right away.
