Lopez (rest) has been ruled out for the Nets' final six games of the season, Mike Mazzeo of ESPN.com reports.
Lopez isn't necessarily dealing with any specific injury, but with the Nets well eliminated from playoff contention, they're not going to risk any further strain on their franchise center. The Nets announced that Thaddeus Young would also be shut down for the season to rest, so look for reserve big men Thomas Robinson, Henry Sims, Chris McCullough, and Willie Reed to see large boosts in their playing time.
