Kilpatrick (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Celtics, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.

The Nets will shelve Kilpatrick for both halves of the back-to-back set while he continues to battle a sore left hamstring, which he first suffered in Tuesday's loss to the Thunder. At this stage of the season, the league-worst Nets have little to gain by having their key contributors play at less-than-optimal health, so Kilpatrick will have the opportunity to heal up for another two days before potentially receiving clearance to play Sunday against the Mavericks. The absences of Kilpatrick and Joe Harris (shoulder) should open up a little extra run for Randy Foye and K.J. McDaniels at shooting guard Friday.
