Holiday (eye) has been diagnosed with a right inferior orbital wall fracture and will miss the remainder of the season.

Holiday suffered the eye injury in the final minute of the fourth quarter of Monday's win over the Knicks, which came after he had missed the Pelicans' previous two games due to a blister on one of his toes. He'll need multiple weeks to fully recover from the injury, and with the Pelicans' season set to end April 13, there wasn't enough time for Holiday to make his way back to the court. Along with Holiday, Alonzo Gee (quad) was also ruled out for the season on Monday, bringing the Pelicans' total to seven players who have suffered season-ending injuries. Look for Toney Douglas, Tim Frazier, and Norris Cole (back) to pick up minutes at point guard for the remaining nine games. Holiday figures to be back at full strength well in advance of training camp.
