Pelicans' Tyreke Evans: Hoping to return in three weeks

Evans (knee) hopes to be back in the lineup in late November or early December, Sam Amick of USA Today reports.

After undergoing arthroscopic surgery Oct. 20, Evans was ruled out for six-to-eight weeks, but it sounds like he might be able to beat the short end of his timetable by a small margin if he continues to make steady progress. Evans began running last week on an ultra-G treadmill, according to NBA.com, but until he takes part in basketball-related activities, the Pelicans probably won't have a proper gauge for when he might be back.
