Selden will start at shooting guard Tuesday against the Trail Blazers, Justin Verrier of ESPN.com reports.

Selden inked a 10-day contract with the Pelicans last week, and despite that fact that he's yet to see the floor, coach Alvin Gentry will take a trial-by-fire approach and throw the undrafted rookie into the starting lineup for his team debut. It remains to be seen how many minutes Selden will play, so he'll carry plenty of risk in DFS contests, despite his minimum price. There's also a chance that it's just a one-game promotion for Selden, who could cede back starting duties to Hollis Thompson before long.
