Caldwell-Pope (personal) contributed two points (1-5 FG, 0-4 3Pt), two steals, one rebound and one assist across 17 minutes in a 105-102 loss to the Raptors on Wednesday.

It was initially expected that Caldwell-Pope wouldn't be available for the game while he tended to the birth of his child, but he ended up rejoining the Pistons in the second quarter and played for much of the second half. The delayed entry into the game might have kept Caldwell-Pope out of rhythm, however, as he failed to make much of an impact during his time on the court while the Pistons suffered a costly loss to fall three games behind the Heat and Pacers for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with only four games to play. Coach Stan Van Gundy figures to keep handing Caldwell-Pope heavy minutes until the Pistons are officially eliminated from the playoffs, so expect him to see a full workload Friday against the Rockets.
