DeRozan accumulated 40 points (14-25 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 12-13 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one steal across 36 minutes during Thursday's 101-84 victory over the Heat.

With both Kyle Lowry (wrist) and Serge Ibaka (suspension) both out, DeRozan took it upon himself to carry the scoring burden for the Raptors, dropping his second consecutive 40-point game. Overall, DeRozan has somewhat struggled over the month of March without Lowry available, averaging 22.8 points per game on 43.9 percent shooting. He relies heavily on his mid-range game and drives to the hoop, but has had trouble finding his shots with defenses easily able to focus on him, since the Raptors have few other players capable of creating off the dribble.
