Howard (back) will not play Thursday versus the Jazz, Craig Ackerman of KOGT 1600 AM reports.
Howard was questionable heading into Thursday's matchup with the Jazz after only being able to partially participate in the Rockets' shootaround Thursday morning. Terrence Jones, Clint Capella, and even Trevor Ariza should see increased usage in Howard's absence. The Rocket's next game is Sunday versus the Pacers. Expect an update on Howard's status closer to game-day.
