Rockets' Troy Williams: Expects to sign for rest of season

The Rockets are expected to sign Williams for the remainder of the season on Monday, Johnathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Williams has yet to see a minute of action with the Rockets at the big league level, instead getting a bunch of minutes with their D-League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. In four games with the Vipers, Williams has averaged 21.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists across 28.5 minutes. He'll operate as a deep reserve on the wing with the Rockets once recalled, but likely won't get enough minutes to be fantasy relevant.
