Dedmon started at center and provided six points (2-5 FG, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, three blocks and two steals across 26 minutes in Wednesday's 94-87 win over the Mavericks.
While slotting in on the top unit in place of a resting Pau Gasol, Dedmon provided excellent production on the defensive side, and his success on that end of the court should continue to afford him a spot in coach Gregg Popovich's rotation throughout the season. However, his playing time will likely fall below 20 minutes in games where Gasol is available, which figures to be the case in the Spurs' next contest Friday against the Wizards.
