We hope that 2017 will be Tyler Lockett's breakout campaign since this is his third season in the NFL. As a rookie, Lockett looked on the verge of stardom. He had 51 catches for 664 yards and six touchdowns on 68 targets, and he added 33 kickoff returns for 852 yards and a touchdown and 40 punt returns for 379 yards and a touchdown. But he regressed as a sophomore with 41 catches for 597 yards and one touchdown on 67 targets, and he managed just 23 kickoff returns for 606 yards and no touchdowns and 29 punt returns for 243 yards and no scores. Worst of all, he suffered a broken leg in Week 16, and he will likely miss most of the offseason program and potentially part of training camp. He's expected to be fine for Week 1, but we hope he can play more like his rookie campaign and less like last year. Lockett is worth drafting with a late-round pick in all seasonal leagues, with his value higher in formats that reward points for return yards. He should be able to outperform his draft stock if he's healthy, and hopefully he does become a third-year breakout success story.
