McDonald topped last week's career-best performance (4-65-1) with 71 yards on six catches and another visit to the end zone in Sunday's loss to Arizona.
McDonald is building quite the rapport with Blaine Gabbert, becoming the quarterback's top tight end target and go-to man in the red zone. With Garrett Celek (ankle) out indefinitely, McDonald should continue to lead all San Francisco tight ends in targets going forward. The Bears provide a tough matchup next week (5.3 fantasy points per game allowed to opposing tight ends), but McDonald definitely deserves consideration in a game in which Blaine Gabbert will likely be forced to throw the ball 25-plus times.
