Thompson caught a 36-yard pass on his lone target in Sunday's 24-21 loss to the Redskins.
It took four games with the Bears before Thompson, the team's kick returner, saw his first target as a receiver. He'll likely remain the fourth or fifth option on the Bears' depth chart at receiver the rest of the way, as he earned only five offensive snaps Sunday.
