Ward was ejected from Sunday's game against the Chiefs for launching a helmet-to-helmet hit on wide receiver Jeremy Maclin while he tried to block on a run play, ESPN.com reports. Ward also took a swing at Maclin while they were on the ground, and he faces a suspension from the league.

The Broncos played Sunday's game without cornerback Aqib Talib, who was suspended after poking Colts tight end Dwayne Allen in the eye last Sunday. The Broncos were dominated Sunday, losing 29-13 in arguably quarterback Peyton Manning's worst game of his career. If Ward, who came into Sunday's game with 47 tackles, two sacks and two forced fumbles in seven games this season, does get hit with a suspension, David Bruton could start in his place Week 11 against the Bears.
