With Brian Hoyer expected to join the 49ers, the Bears could ramp up their pursuit of Glennon, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Glennon reportedly turned down an offer of approximately $8 million per season to stay put in Tampa Bay, expecting to get a better offer from a team in need of a starter. With Jay Cutler (shoulder) expected to follow Hoyer out the exit door in Chicago, the Bears could provide Glennon's best shot at a starting job and a hefty contract. The Jets have also been mentioned as a potential suitor for the 2013 third-round selection.
