Chargers' Antonio Gates: Missing third consecutive practice

Gates (hamstring) is not present at Friday's warmup practice, the San Diego Union-Tribune's Tom Krasovic reports.

Absent from practice for a third straight day, Gates is in serious danger of missing Sunday's game against the Colts. An absence would leave second-round rookie Hunter Henry as the top tight end, further depleting a San Diego receiving corps that has already lost Keenan Allen (knee) and Danny Woodhead (knee) for the season. Another update will be available later Friday afternoon when the Chargers release their final injury report.
