Inman is expected to be sidelined roughly six weeks following core muscle surgery, Eric Williams of ESPN reports.

Inman is expected to miss the rest of the team's offseason activities, but the timing of the surgery should allow him to return for the start of training camp in the latter portion of July. The 28-year-old developed a rapport with quarterback Philip Rivers following No. 1 receiver Keenan Allen being forced out for the year in Week 1 of last season. He finished with four touchdowns and 810 yards on 58 receptions. With Allen returning this season, and the Chargers' first-round selection of Mike Williams in the draft, Inman will presumably be competing for snap opportunities this season. Thus, entering training camp in full health should be a top priority for the Virginia product.
