Charles (knee) was limited at Wednesday's practice, Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star reports.
Charles was removed from the PUP list on Aug. 16, and while he's ramped up his participation in practice, it seems he's still a bit behind schedule. Speaking Monday, head coach Andy Reid said it would be "a stretch" for Charles to play in Week 1 against the Chargers. And even if he does suit up, Charles might just play second fiddle to Spencer Ware, with Charcandrick West (elbow) potentially also involved. Ware is seemingly in line for lead-back duties in Week 1, regardless of Charles' availability.
