Mathis is dealing with a minor tear in his lower bicep but could return for Sunday's divisional tilt with the Texans, Derek Schultz of Fox Sports 97.5 reports.
Mathis missed Monday's win because of the injury but he seems to be on the right track towards recovery. Look for updates to come once practice reports are released this week. Until he returns, Akeem Ayers and LaVar Edwards are expected to see increased reps.
