Lee is expected to be out six weeks after having undergone sports hernia surgery, Jane Slater of NFL Network reports.
Lee began the season on injured reserve, and it looks as though his first opportunity to be promoted to the active roster won't come until mid-October. By the time Lee is able to return, Leighton Vander Esch (collarbone) could also be nearing a return to the field.
