Vitale was signed to the Bucs practice squad Friday, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The rookie sixth-round pick has found his way back to Tampa after a rollercoaster week that saw him get waived by the Bucs and then snapped up by the Bills, which subsequently waived him for a failed physical due to what they labeled as a torn labrum. The Bucs had previously diagnosed the injury as an AC joint sprain, so the team was open to his return following Vitale clearing waivers earlier in the day. The versatile fullback/tight end hybrid will have a chance to develop as the season unfolds, but could find a promotion to the active roster hard to come by with the Bucs already carrying five tight ends.
