The Chargers released Jennings (leg) on Friday, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.
This could be construed as optimism for the availability of Mike Williams (shoulder) in Week 1, but Jennings was on the bubble anyway after the Chargers drafted Joe Reed and K.J. Hill in April. If Jennings can get healthy, he could find another roster that needs depth and a potential return man.
