Mathews participated in a few team drills on Friday and was removed from the NFI list, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Although he did take the practice field for the first time this training camp, Mathews was limited in his participation and left practice early. He'll continue to nurse a sore ankle, and should see an increase in reps next week.
