Smith was waived by the Lions on Tuesday.
It's the second time Smith has been waived by the Lions this season, this time in order to make room for veteran defensive end George Johnson. Since rejoining the Lions in Week 9, Smith recorded two tackles in two contests, logging 68 defensive snaps in the process.
