Rudock was waived by the Lions on Saturday, Dave Birkett of the the Detroit Free Press reports.
Rudock was in competition for the backup quarterback role but he lost out to Dan Orlovsky and Detroit decided to only keep two quarterbacks. He'll be eligible for the practice squad if he clears waivers.
