Mariani signed a one-year extension with the Bears on Saturday, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.com reports.
Mariani played in all 16 games for the Bears last season, recording 22 receptions for 300 yards. He also had 29 punt returns for 192 yards as well as 16 kickoff returns for 418 yards. The specifics of the deal have yet to be announced.
