Newton completed 21 of 34 passes for 246 yards and a career-high five touchdowns in Sunday's win over the Redskins. He also gained 16 yards on four carries.
The 26-year-old continued his assent Sunday, leading the Panthers to 10-0 on the back of 30 straight points following the first quarter. Newton's five scores on the day gave him a new career-high with 26 total touchdowns this season, including 13 compared to just three turnovers in the last three games. Next up for Carolina will be a Thanksgiving matchup against the Cowboys.
