Kuechly is slated for offseason surgery on a partially torn labrum in his left shoulder, the Charlotte Observer reports.

Kuechly missed the first game action of his career in 2015 due to a concussion, but upon his return, he predictably stabilized the Panthers' defense, finishing the regular season with 118 tackles (76 solo), four interceptions (one pick-six), two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one sack in 13 contests. While he suffered the labrum tear in Week 17, he logged all practice reps thereafter and even became the first player in NFL history to return interceptions for a touchdown in back-to-back playoff games against the Seahawks and Cardinals. It's unclear if he'll be available for OTAs and minicamp, but a full recovery is expected by the time training camp rolls around in July.
