Manuel signed a contract with the Raiders on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Manuel's signing comes as no surprise after he was reportedly in talks with Oakland over the past few days. The former first-round pick has had a shaky career to this point and will figure to be the Raiders' backup quarterback behind Derek Carr, bumping last season's backup, Connor Cook, to the third-stringer slot. Don't expect to see much from Manuel this season unless Carr gets injured again.
