Cooper will miss some time after suffering a shoulder injury while making a catch in Saturday's preseason game against the Broncos. "We're going to be without Pharoh Cooper for a few weeks with a shoulder injury," coach Jeff Fisher noted. "I don't know how long, but it looks like he'll probably miss the opener, and we'll just see how quickly he can come back from that."

Cooper, who was selected by the Rams in the fourth round of April's draft, subsequently moved up the team's wideout depth chart and had made a case to open the season as the team's No. 3 option at the position. His injury clearly stalls his momentum on that front and could lead to added early-season opportunities for Brian Quick behind Tavon Austin and Kenny Britt.
