Report: Raiders new pass rusher Aldon Smith will play Sunday

The Raiders are impressed enough with the conditioning of new edge rusher Aldon Smith that they are planning to play him on passing downs Sunday against Cincinnati, league sources have told CSNBayArea.com.

Smith just signed a contract with the team Friday. Jack Del Rio has declined to elaborate on his playing status for the opener, but Smith did participate in a walk-through the day he inked the contact.
