Cooks snatched seven of nine targets for 58 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs.
There was a point between Cooks' two-touchdown Week 1 and the Week 5 bye when the young speedster cooled off while rookie Michael Thomas and others found their stride. Order seems to have been restored for Cooks, who -- drop in yardage total aside -- caught seven passes and a touchdown for the second consecutive game. Big-play receivers like Cooks can be streaky, and the likes of Thomas and Willie Snead, too, have the ability to take over a game. However, Cooks showed Sunday that he can still deliver a quality outing even when forced to do his damage closer to the line of scrimmage.
